How your donation reaches them
Assessment
Field teams survey households and record who needs support most.
Local purchase
Food is bought in local markets at fair prices.
Distribution
Parcels are delivered household by household, with photos recorded.
Follow-up
Families are revisited so support continues while it is needed.
Food prices rise fastest for those with the least. Our field teams keep a rolling assessment of households in each community we serve, prioritising widows, the elderly and families with disabled members.
Food is bought locally wherever possible, supporting the same markets the families rely on, and every distribution is photographed and recorded.
“The parcel arrived the week we had nothing left. We ate properly for the first time in a month.”
Why we do it
“They give food, out of love for Him, to the needy, the orphan and the captive.”
Quran 76:8
Questions
Who receives food support?
Households assessed by our field team, prioritising widows, the elderly and families with disabled members.
Is the food bought locally?
Yes, wherever possible, so donations also support local traders.
Can I give regularly?
Yes. A monthly donation keeps parcels going out all year, not only during Ramadan.
